TRANSICIEL TECHNOLOGIES and QNX team up

TRANSICIEL and QNX will jointly pursue opportunities in the aerospace, defence, and automotive industries. The two companies will use their complementary expertise to provide value-added services and technology to embedded system developers in France.TRANSICIEL Technologies, a specialist in high-technology consulting, has been named as a 'Charter Distributor' for QNX Software Systems, a leading provider of realtime operating systems, development tools, and services. This new distribution agreement strengthens and extends a 10-year relationship between Transiciel and QNX.

The alliance will leverage QNX (R) tools and OS technology to deliver solutions for scientific, technical, and research projects. The range of value-added services will address the full range of client requirements: technological recommendations; definition of software and hardware architectures; management, testing, and maintainence of customer products and systems; as well as support and training for their teams.

This agreement enables QNX to benefit from the commercial presence of TRANSICIEL Technologies' branch network and its expertise in the development of real-time systems. The delivery of services currently available in the regions of the South of France will be progressively extended within France.

'TRANSICIEL Technologies has strong brand awareness in market segments such as aerospace and defence, fields that represent key growth markets for QNX,' said Philippe CLAUSSE, QNX's director of European Operations. As a charter distributor, TRANSICIEL Technologies will represent the full suite of QNX products and solutions. TRANSICIEL Technologies will also become a 'QNX-approved' training centre and will offer courses delivered by engineers certified in QNX products and technologies.

TRANSICIEL Technologies are experts in QNX technology, and will use their technology centre in Marseilles as a 'centre of excellence' for QNX products. Together with additional resources in offices across France, over 50 engineers will help provide TRANSICIEL project managers with technical support, training, and design consulting services.
