A stock 6.3.0 SP3 install automatically detects and mounts most USB thumb drives.
Just look in the /fs directory after you insert the thumb drive.
Under 6.2.1 it's a little tricker because all the components aren't automatically started and it seems far fewer thumb drives are supported. The programs to run are io-usb and devb-umass. After that you will still need to mount the drive in DOS or QNX format as appropriate.
