Post subject: Cannot boot from CD in a Toshiba laptop  PostPosted: Mar 05, 2008 - 07:16 PM

Hello,

I have a brand new toshiba laptop, model Satellite Pro A200, which does not allow me to install qnx 6.3.2 from CD. If I try to boot from CD, a long row of dots appears (as usual) but at some point it stops adding dots, and simply hangs.

I have used the same CD with academic license to install QNX in some 20 PCs in a classroom, and I have recently checked that other computer boot with it. I have installed QNX (6.2, not 6.3) in other toshiba laptops, so it seems to be something specific of this model. QNX 6.2.0 does not make much of a difference in this computer: although it does allow me to set some booting options, I am not able to boot or install it either.

Can you help me?

Regards,

Joaquín Ferruz

Try pressing space bar to setup some "fallback" option.

I tried to press space bar, but nothing happens aside from what I explained before; it just beeps when I have pressed space too many times. Pressing Esc does not do any good either; the booting process hangs just after printing "Hit Esc for .altboot".
