xntpd v3.5f on qnx4.25

Hi,
I am using xntpd 3.5f binaries on qnx4.25, and when I use xntpd -g, the system clock is never stepped to within 128ms range for xntpd to synchronize. Is there a function i need to modify to get that first -g step to the range acceptable to xntpd?
