Post subject: .cdtproject file and "Run all project builders"  PostPosted: Jan 30, 2006 - 03:36 PM

Hi,

Im new to eclipse and QNX, but I have a problem that QNX tech support
seem unable to answer, so I thought id try here.

In a std make project when you create a make target there is an option
to "Run all project builders" on the dialogue, by default this is
checked. I dont want this option, so I turn it off. If i subsequently
close the project and then reopen it the option is rechecked! ARRGH! I
think there is a missing value/key/tag in the .cdtproject file, as the
other options on the dialogue appear to have entries in there, but not
this one. I have tried to find the syntax of the file, and a list of
allowed keys, but to no avail :(

does anyone know how to turn off this option permanently?

thanks in advance

Adam

Hello Adam

What exactly are you trying to turn off by using this feature? Do you
have other builders or customer builders that you are trying to use with
this project?

Thanks,
Rodney

Rodney,

I just want to turn it off. Nothing special, it's just trying to run all
project builders when this option is checked, and I'd rather it didn't.

What other project builders do you have in the workspace?

Thanks,
Rodney

I could be wrong, but doesn't the standard project builder generate the
makefiles? Seems to me that without it changes to your workspace are not
reflected in the makefiles used by CDT.

Sorry to come back to that thread, but i do have the same problem. we have a Custom Make File in a Custom directory.
I tried turning off the "Run all project builders" in my make targets. It reenables as soon as i reopen the project.

And i want to turn it off, since i just want to run my own make, but i do need my PhAB, so im bound to a PhAB Make Project,
which always reenables the turn on all project bu8ilders. Hope someone will have an answer by now (at least this thread is almost
one year old...)
