One of our Vancouver clients is looking for an Embedded Real-Time Software Developer who is interested in working on the cutting edge of Semiconductor research. The client is a global innovator of plasma and rapid thermal processing (RTP) solutions essential to front-end fabrication of current-generation integrated circuits (ICs). Their customers include the top 20 global IC manufacturers, and they have systems installed in major fabrication facilities around the world.
Job Description
Our Client is looking for an individual who is creative, bright, and willing to take on new and different challenges, possesses the ability to take risks, and has the desire to take part in the success of a team of gifted people. They will provide you with the tools to be successful and a work environment that's casual, flexible and fun.
You must be able to help design and develop parts of the Client RTP system, troubleshoot and fix issues and bugs as they arise, work with other teams on product documentation and be responsible for periodic and production releases. We are looking for someone who is a self starter and works well in groups and on their own. This position also involves a small amount of travel.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have 10 to 15 years of relevant experience with embedded systems, Real-time systems, Real-time multi-tasking/-threading operating systems, programming languages C, C++ and a University Degree in a relevant discipline. They are looking for someone who has experience in QNX RTOS, Java and Swing UI experience (nice to have skills), as well as Industrial automation and data collection.
