Post subject: setting up FTP on QNX 6.3.0  PostPosted: Dec 22, 2006 - 11:32 AM

Hi,

I have downloaded QNX 6.3.0 eval from QNX website.I have installed it on
a PC. I am unable to setup the FTP & telnet server. I went through the
QNX HELP. But seems there are few files missing (like ftpd.conf etc).
Could anyone guide me in this process.

thanks,
vln

Hello

You should be able to just run inetd and this will give you both ftp and
telnet. To open up services take a look at the inetd.conf file in /etc.
You run inetd as root. I suggest that you setup a user account as
the root user can't ftp to the box by default ( you can add a root
password and edit the ftpusers file if you would like the root user to
be able to ftp to the box ).

Thanks,
Rodney
