Post subject: pfm (Photon File Manager) - Memory fault - core dumped  PostPosted: Aug 02, 2007 - 02:11 PM

Hello,

pfm stopped working on a QNX 6.3.2 system. Starting pfm from a terminal, the
message
"Memory fault - core dumped"
is produced. Logging in as another user shows a pretty working pfm. Therefor
I've renamed the ~/.ph/pfm directory. But the problem remains. The manual
does not reference other files that may cause this problem.

Any ideas?

Tia, bye

I can't think of any user specific setup that would cause this problem,
except the config files in ~/.ph/pfm/. Maybe it's the contents of the
directory PFM happens to be at during startup. Try starting it from a
different directory, or run pfm as a the different user and navigate to the
first user's home directory to see if it crashes there.

If you want I can sent you a debug version of PFM so we can get a meaningful
core file.

Regards,
Max
