QNX Joins Service Availability Forum to Define and Promote Industry Standards

QNX related news Continuing its commitment to standards and interoperability, QNX Software Systems announced today that it has been accepted into the Service Availability Forum. QNX Software Systems will work with member companies to define open, industry-standard specifications for building high availability (HA) systems.
Because of the current lack of industry standards for HA, networking equipment manufacturers (OEMs) must incur the high cost of creating their own proprietary approaches, rather than use off-the-shelf building blocks. Standards created by the Forum will help eliminate these costs and accelerate
development of communications equipment that support the market demand for fast delivery of ultra-dependable, next-generation services.
