November 26, 2002 - QNX Software Systems, maker of the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS), has sealed a distribution agreement with ARX, supplier of products and consulting services for the Nordic realtime and embedded market. The two companies aim to tap into the growing demand for reliable, realtime system software for applications in the industrial, telecommunications, military, medical and automotive sectors.

QNX Software Systems today announced that Motorola has chosen the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS to assist in the development of a telematics control unit (TCU) being built by Motorola Automotive. Motorola's innovative TCU product - which will be deployed in a line of European luxury cars later this year - utilizes automotive-grade software to give drivers access to cellphone communication technology.
