OTTAWA, Feb. 4 -- Making it easier than ever for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to fine-tune their embedded development projects and get to market, QNX Software Systems today released System Profiler, a graphical system analysis tool for QNX(R) Momentics(R) Professional Edition, the company's open, Eclipse-based development suite. The System Profiler goes beyond conventional debugging and code analysis tools to analyze how all the components in a complex realtime system interact with each other. Not only can developers troubleshoot and optimize their systems with greater ease but the systems themselves can perform faster and more predictably.

Lauterbach GmbH, Europe's leading manufacturer of microprocessor development tools, has announced extended kernel awareness for the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS) from QNX Software Systems Ltd. Proven on PowerPC and SH4 architectures, kernel awareness for QNX Neutrino is now also available for ARM and XScale systems. Lauterbach's TRACE32 Debugger can now visualize OS resources (such as process tables) and debug boot code, interrupts, drivers, and application processes.

November 26, 2002 - QNX Software Systems, maker of the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS), has sealed a distribution agreement with ARX, supplier of products and consulting services for the Nordic realtime and embedded market. The two companies aim to tap into the growing demand for reliable, realtime system software for applications in the industrial, telecommunications, military, medical and automotive sectors.

QNX Software Systems today announced that Motorola has chosen the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS to assist in the development of a telematics control unit (TCU) being built by Motorola Automotive. Motorola's innovative TCU product - which will be deployed in a line of European luxury cars later this year - utilizes automotive-grade software to give drivers access to cellphone communication technology.
