OTTAWA and NAGOYA, March 29, 2005 - QNX Software Systems Co. today announced that Mitachi Co. Ltd., an electronics manufacturer with offices in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, has signed on as a distributor for the QNX Solutions Network. As a certified QNX distributor, Mitachi will offer the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS and QNX Momentics® development suite - along with a variety of support, consulting, and engineering services - to customers in the Tokai, Kansai, and Kanto regions of Japan. "Japan represents one of QNX's fastest growing markets, particularly in terms of new design wins," commented Kimm Krueger, director, indirect sales channels, QNX Software Systems. Mitachi joins five other QNX distributors in Japan, as well as a QNX branch office, located in Tokyo. As a distributor, Mitachi will serve QNX customers building transportation systems, instrumentation devices, automation systems, consumer electronics, and medical instrumentation.
