I'll send you my patches to make it use the syslogd for it's loggings, and

also some other enhancements.

Hello,

we have downloaded v.4 from ntp.org and compiled it (with several minor
changes), port was easy (we use only refclock-local).

How huge is it?

I like the old one because it is really small and works well.

(I did try porting the NTV v4.2.0 - it compiled, it runs. But there is no
NTP traffic, it does not work for me...)

Thank you for your answers, but unfortunately I can't properly configure
NTP client and server in local network. Client can't synchronize the
time from server. How can i configure that? Does somebody have properly
working version NTP for QNX 4.25??

Thanks in advanced

Yes I did, I thank you very much, but unfortunately it doesn't work, I
don't know why. The offset decreases all the time even if it's lower
than zero.

What is the initial offset?

If it is greater than 1000 seconds - you must start the daemon with "-a
any" option.
Also you could use "-L" option to read it's messages via syslog.

That's strange. On all my boxes this daemon brings the time well within

1~2 milliseconds quite quickly.
What are your reference servers?
What stratum they are?
Does "ntp -sf IP-of-a-reference-NTP" set the time for you?
Can you try using "ntp.lth.se"?
What does "ntpdc localhost" report (or the box where the daemon runs)?

What are your "uname -a", "sin ve"?
