using Socket instead of Socklet without a reboot

For the old QNX2 and QNX4 RTOS

using Socket instead of Socklet without a reboot

Postby jargoint » Mon Mar 14, 2011 7:17 pm

On a QNX4 system I need to run Socket instead of Socklet. My question is if I ditto to a node that is running Socklet can I slay Socklet and start Socket without rebooting the system, and once I kill socklet does it kill my ditto session?

I'm thinking that I can do this since the messaging between the nodes use the infleet protocol, so if I kill Socket I should be able to ditto to another node, but I wanted to make sure before I do this on a live system.

You can do it no problem. Ditto runs over FLEET, that is unrelated to IP based protocol
