Will QNX support a serial terminal?

Postby dbcomp » Sat Sep 14, 2002 1:59 pm

Can QNX support a terminal connected to the serial port, similar to Solaris or AIX?

Thanks!

You want to look into /etc/config/ttys and then reboot (or restart tinit).

Thanks cdm, I've tried several settings in the ttys file, but am still getting garbage on the receiving end.(but much more garbage!....progress! )

I've tried every baud rate from 1200 to 56000, to no avail.....can you suggest anything else?

MANY thanks!

Use stty

Use stty on both ends and make sure the baud rates match.

It is 57600 by default on Neutrino.

stty < /dev/ser1
