Discussion about the QNX6 OS.

"Accessible Source" anyone ???

Postby DEC » Mon Nov 18, 2002 11:05 pm

Hi all,

some years ago, QSSL issued a press blurb announcing their non-commercial distribution. They also stated what follows:
"[...] Besides making QNX free for non-commercial use, QNX also provides source code for most components - drivers, protocol managers, and so on. Only the kernel and other core portions of the QNX platform remain protected [...]."¹

Is there anyone not affiliated with QSSL who actually has access to their source code (not only DDKs) without signing a dozen NDAs and paying them thousands of dollars?

Thanks,
DEC
