Discussion about the general applications that run on QNX6

command for changing ip address

Postby neelay » Wed Mar 01, 2006 7:34 pm

Hello All,

I have a QNX 6.2 setup on a machine. I am trying to setup the network settings. For that I go to the Network gui window and the devices tab, to setup the ipadddress. The ipaddress set can be pinged from a remote machine so this works fine.

However, when I manually try to change it using command below
#io-net -dne2000 ifconfig en0 10.15.0.3

then when I do a ifconfig, I do not see eth0 at all.

I go back to the GUI window for the devices tab. the tab goes away.
So, if anyone has some idea..how to change it from command line..please do let me know..

help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
neelay
