Extra Libraries in IDE

Post by Simon A. Platten » Mon Dec 09, 2002 2:36 pm

Hi,

How do you add your own libaries using the Make Editor in the IDE ?
I've specified the Extra Includes and Extra Libraries folders...I've also
specified an Extra Library, but I am unsure what the Name field should
be...library name with extenstion or without ? with path or without ?

I've tried many combinations but all result in not being able to open the
library, if anyone can explain it clearly I'd like to know.

Thanks

Hello Simon,

All you should need is under link_type is to set dynamic (.so) or static
(.a) and if you are building a debug
application select "yes" under Debug. The name field should contain lib
name only.....ie if you liba.so and liba.a,
you should have liba in the name field.

Thank you,

I got it working, I think my problem was I was putting in to much info for
the library name...library name should be same as project without 'lib'
prefix or path or .a .so etc.

Thanks,
Simon
