a bug in ped I think

Post by Alain Bonnefoy » Wed Jan 17, 2001 4:08 pm

Hi,

Create 2 new files (buffers in fact), write some text in both of them.
save one of them, the second becomes empty or desappear, it depends!

Are you creating new buffers or using existing ones?

Are you choosing "Save As..." or "Save"?

Ok, I explain more precisely

Launch ped,the title bar display "untitled1".
type "buffer 1" in this window.
Select menu File->New, the title bar display "untitled2"
type "buffer 2" in this window.
Select menu File->Save, give a file name.
Select menu Buffer, the first buffer has desappeared.

The problem is that I don't know my version of ped and it's a general
problem of QRTP, we don't know the version of QRTP nor the version of the
modules supplied with.

If I remember well, on qnx4 it was possible to run sin ver to know the
version of a module in memory or in a specified file.
Why it's not possible with neutrino??

ped has the ability to display the name of the function that your
cursor is in at any given time. While this isn't essential I've
kind of gotten used to it. However, . . .

if the file is in DOS mode, i.e. <cr><lf> instead of just <lf> chars
at the end of the line, it doesn't recognize functions.

Can this be fixed?
